Much of the activity that Andidrain do is focussed on making our environment a better, cleaner place.
We survey, clean and repair assets for our clients to help ensure that they remain serviceable and do not pose a threat to their surroundings.
At the same time, we take care to limit our own impact upon the environment and continue to implement initiatives to help us to achieve this.
Effective working, using some of the most up-to-date, efficient plant and vehicles is one way, procuring resources locally is another.
We have invested heavily in the purchase of recycler units, which filter the vacuumed material and extract the water content for reuse in the cleaning operation. This not only reduces the amount of material going to landfill, it increases the efficiency of resources, with fewer trips to fill up with fresh water and reduces the amount of water otherwise extracted from the network.
Andidrain are one of the largest private operators of D:Max screening plant. Working in combination with a DISAB Vacuum Unit, these can be located at a customer’s site to dewater effluent and separate the waste streams, allowing the recovery of material for recycling; the return of extracted water back into the process works and reduced waste to landfill as a result.
We are licensed waste carriers and similarly, use facilities appropriately licensed by the Environment Agency for the disposal and recycling of effluent and waste.
Andidrain are proud to have achieved accreditation to ISO14001: 2015 for our Environmental Management System from a UKAS recognised body.
